Cybersecurity Engineer
Position Overview:
Ayottaz is seeking a talented Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team on a contract basis and collaborate closely with one of our esteemed clients. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be at the forefront of protecting our client's critical information assets, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their data. Your expertise in cybersecurity will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the client's cybersecurity needs and objectives.
Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies and initiatives.
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
Design and configure security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus solutions.
Monitor network traffic and security alerts for suspicious activities and incidents.
Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches.
Manage security policies, access controls, and encryption protocols.
Stay up-to-date on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
Assist in the development and execution of cybersecurity awareness and training programs.
Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations.
Provide technical guidance and support to the client's IT team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
Experience with network and system security, including firewall management and intrusion detection.
Proficiency in incident response and forensic analysis.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH) are a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
Project management skills are an advantage.
