Cybersecurity Incident Manager
Position Overview:
Ayottaz is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Incident Manager to join our team on a contract basis and collaborate closely with one of our prestigious clients. As a Cybersecurity Incident Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the response to cybersecurity incidents, minimizing their impact, and ensuring the client's digital assets remain secure. Your expertise in incident management will be critical in identifying, containing, and mitigating cybersecurity threats.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
Lead and coordinate the incident response team during security incidents.
Develop and maintain an incident response plan and playbook.
Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, identifying root causes and impact.
Implement immediate containment and mitigation measures to minimize damage.
Collaborate with external incident response teams, law enforcement, and legal counsel as necessary.
Manage and document incident-related communications and actions.
Prepare and present detailed incident reports to executive leadership.
Monitor and analyze incident trends to proactively improve security measures.
Assist in the development and execution of incident response training and awareness programs.
Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations.
Provide technical guidance and support to the client's IT team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Incident Manager or similar role.
Strong knowledge of incident response principles, practices, and technologies.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
Experience with network and system security, including intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Proficiency in digital forensics and evidence handling.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC) are a plus.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to lead and work collaboratively in high-pressure situations.
Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
Project management skills are an advantage.
