Information Security Architect
Position Overview:
Ayottaz is seeking a highly skilled Information Security Architect to join our team on a contract basis and work closely with one of our valued clients. As an Information Security Architect, you will play a pivotal role in defining, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures that protect our client's critical information assets. Your expertise in information security will be essential in identifying vulnerabilities, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the client's security needs and requirements.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive information security strategy and architecture.
Conduct security assessments and risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities and threats.
Design and implement security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
Lead security incident response and recovery efforts.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and technologies.
Provide guidance and support to the client's IT team in implementing security best practices.
Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
Collaborate with third-party vendors and security service providers.
Prepare and present security reports and recommendations to executive leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience as an Information Security Architect or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of information security principles, standards, and best practices.
Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
Expertise in network and system security, including firewall management and intrusion detection.
Proficiency in risk assessment and incident response procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective project management skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
